and an MS in accounting from the University of Dallas where he graduated with honors. Brandon is well-equipped to tackle the financial complexities that come
with public service. Currently, he is putting the finishing touches on
his program at Harvard Business School, further enhancing his strategic
acumen. Brandon's commitment to education and continuous learning
underscores his dedication to making informed, forward-thinking
decisions for the betterment of our community.
Career:
Brandon brings a wealth of experience in finance, accounting, and strategy
across various business ventures. His track record includes successful
stints in start-ups, publicly-rated Fortune companies, and privately
held enterprises. Brandon has played a pivotal role in day-to-day
operations, deal negotiations, risk management, reorganizations, and
driving profitability and cost-saving initiatives.
Furthermore, Brandon is a dedicated business owner with interests in consulting,
agriculture, and sports leagues, Brandon understands the unique needs
of the community. His previous ownership of the only
independently minority-owned establishment in the Texas region, a gas station and a
restaurant within Mesquite, showcases his commitment to revitalizing the
area. Through these ventures, Brandon prioritized local employment,
rebuilt trust within the community, and extended a helping hand to
children and low-income families by providing meals and essential
resources. With Brandon Murden, District 6 can look forward to a leader
who not only understands business, but is deeply committed to the
well-being and prosperity of the community
